It only has a 200-something horsepower 4-cylinder but paddle shifters, slick tires and even a rear spoiler wing comes standard!
Unfortunately I wouldn’t get a chance to drive it anytime soon, but it’s possible I can make a pretty penny renting it out to young wanna-be race car drivers who have more money than brains. Just have to talk to some teams and see how much interest is really out there.

They’re new for 2018, I don’t think they’ve delivered any yet. I’d have to place an order directly from the Pro Mazda Championship.

I wonder how much Formula BMWs are going for lately...

If only Ariel had low package deals for their vehicles. I don’t need the super 300HP engine, just the regular one and sell it for $19,000. Because the Atom is awesome but it still has no roof and I’m not shelling out a ton of money for a car with no roof.

how much bucks? f4 cars are around 50K and have similar specs

I have to keep reminding myself that I have no racing potential to keep myself from sinking money into real race cars.

Buy either that or an FB, both should be lots of tun.

I’m guessing around 100k but that’s another thing I have to clear up. It should be a good bit faster than an F4 car, although they do look similar.
But I can rent it for about $1,500 per day. 10ish race weekends a day at 3 days a piece, plus off-season and in-season testing, trying new drivers, etc...

A quick google reveals that you can buy a package of 11 for €207,000!

Oppo Racing League anyone?

I have a Formula Ford to play with so this would be purely for income. Maybe if my YouTube channel takes off I’ll race it some day.

Ah gotcha, I figured you were looking to move up a class when money allows. Are you planning to do prep and sell seats for Arrive-and-Drives?
How’s the FF racing going this year? The Honda treating you well?

I certainly hope to move up, I’m also considering switching to GT cars so if I can get the money my next stop is either USF2000/Pro Mazda or Pirelli World Challenge GT4. But I’m still a long way away from that.
Honda’s holding steady! It’s quite underpowered but it’s actually at the engine builder right now so hopefully for the next race in 2 weeks we can score some points. They said there was rust in some of the cylinders so hopefully we’ll see a big improvement.

Honda is running better than mclarens engine

If you switch to racing, I found this mini ( naturally) that you can race in the ctsc (continental tire sportscar championship for the non abbreviators)
Just put up and race car direct

I’m glad I’m not the only one who looks at this website. Thought about buying an Anson sa4 formula 2 car from the 70's and it was a bargain at 8,000$. Also thought about buying a formula Renault ( I think) for 20 grand then I realized I didn’t have any money

It’s also ass-ugly. It looks like a rolling water plant with all the exposed tubes going everywhere.
Sorry, I’m just not a fan of the Ariel. Nor am I a fan of castrated “street-prepared” race cars.

Well, I think Ariel & Caterham weren’t planning on design being a large part of the vehicle concept. The looks probably only appeal to those admiring the kinetic mechanical looks.
